Pokémon Emerald is a role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. It was first released in Japan in 2004, and was later released internationally in 2005. It is the third version of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, and is the final game of the third generation of the Pokémon video game series.

In Pokémon Emerald, players control a Pokémon trainer who travels through the Hoenn region, collecting and battling Pokémon. The game features over 380 Pokémon, including new Pokémon that were not present in Ruby and Sapphire.

Pokémon Emerald also features a number of new gameplay features, including the Battle Frontier, a post-game challenge that allows players to compete in a variety of different battle formats. The game also includes a number of new items and locations, as well as an expanded storyline.
