Pokemon Ultra Sun is a game that was released for the Nintendo 3DS handheld system in November 2017. It’s one of a pair of games, the counterpart being “Pokémon Ultra Moon”. These games are enhanced versions of the original “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” titles which were released in November 2016.

Here are some key aspects and features of “Pokémon Ultra Sun”:

  • New Story Elements: While the core storyline remains the same as “Sun” and “Moon”, there are significant additions and alterations, especially involving the Ultra Beasts and the Ultra Wormholes. There is also the introduction of the Ultra Recon Squad, a new group with intentions revolving around the Ultra Beasts.
  • More Pokémon: Some Pokémon that weren’t available in the original “Sun” and “Moon” are available in these versions, including certain Legendary Pokémon from past games.
  • Ultra Warp Ride: This is a new feature where players can ride on Solgaleo or Lunala to travel through Ultra Wormholes and find Ultra Beasts and Legendary Pokémon. The deeper you go into the wormholes, the rarer the Pokémon you can find.
  • Totem Stickers: Scattered throughout the Alola region are Totem Stickers. Collecting these allows players to obtain Totem-sized Pokémon.
  • Mantine Surf: A new minigame where players can surf between the islands of Alola on a Mantine, performing tricks to earn points.
  • New Ultra Beasts: New Ultra Beasts, like UB Adhesive, UB Burst, and UB Assembly, are introduced.
  • New Z-Moves: Some Pokémon received new exclusive Z-Moves in these versions.
  • Alola Photo Club: A new feature where players can take photos with their Pokémon and customize the background, poses, and more.
  • Battle Agency: A new facility in the Festival Plaza where players can rent Pokémon to battle and rise through the ranks.
  • Team Rainbow Rocket: In the post-game, players can face off against bosses from past Pokémon games, all led by Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket, in a storyline involving alternate universes.
